Wimpy MP3 Player

Customising Wimpy MP3 (12 Steps to Heaven Approach)

Maintenance -Wimpy Main Site

  1. Start by going to Wimpy customise site. Right click on link to open in new window http://www.wimpyplayer.com/customize/customize_mp3.html
  2. Enter http://www.tc-of.org.uk/radiotc/wimpy.php (copy shortcut from here and paste)
  1. Click on test, if example (music)plays then you have got it right
  2. Make sure Version 5 is selected and press continue.
  3. On new page test first two options (1&2) which should be correct.
  4. Option 3 Leave alone as default (or choose skin from wimpy/skins directory and set as default http://www.tc-of.org.uk/radiotc/skins/skin_default.xml or other legitimate skin name.)
  5. The next few items can be left as defaults, but you can set the background colour (the same as the radio channel colour)
  6. Item 22 we have a graphic leave as default BUT TICK the box to include
  7. Item 25 Fill in RadioTC (not necessary just title that appears on blue bar at top of window)
  8. Item 28 Here we must TICK the box first and enter details to embed the file/s and directories we want because we have wimpy in a separate folder from mp3 files, you do it as the tool advises. So for example http://www.tc-of.org.uk/radiotc/ch1-7/p(ch no.)-0001.mp3 will play the file. HAVE YOU TICKED THE BOX.
  9. Then hit the code button. Here it is important to name the file appropriate to the broadcast/programme e.g.p1-0001.html. Save to a directory of your choice, open folder/directory and double click on file, it should work as expected, if not go back and correct. If it does continue.Don't close customiser until you are sure it works.
  10. Then upload the file to the appropriate directory e.g. http://www.tc-of.org.uk/radiotc/ch2/p2-0001.html
