This cartoon is the first of the Alphabetti Spaghetti Therapy cartoons. I was inspired to do these by listening to Rex Haigh's lecture in the Community of Communities Review day on Radio TC-OF International. He talked about Alphabetti Spaghetti Therapy. As a result whilst doing the weekly shop I bought a tin of Alphabetti Spaghetti. Here are the results. The first one is Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.

This cartoon was drawn for my Dad's 50th Birthday. He's a bit crap at using the telephone, so this is a joke about that. The telephone is being used in the cartoon to support the car, so that it can be worked on. The UR50 on the number plate tells you that it is for a 50th birthday!

CBT: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Enough said.

A less well known one, Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy. I think Windy Dryden is a proponent of this. Don't ask me what it consists of.

Some time back the ATC were looking to change their logo. This was one of my attempts. Obviously not a successful one.

CAT: Cognitive Analytic Therapy. There is another CAT cartoon elsewhere in this collection.

This is 'cutting edge satire'!! It relates to Bateman and Fonagy's Mentalization-Based Therapy. I don't think this is a well used acronym as yet so it's ahead of it's time.

This cartoon was drawn at a time that I was buying/selling a house. This stressful time prompted me to think of a very daft way to sell a house. Although I think eBay sell houses, which is a bit like an electronic car boot sale! Truth is stranger than fiction!

This cartoon refers to the Welsh response to Personality Disorder. This was a document similar toDoH: Personality Disorder: No Longer a Diagnosis of Exclusion. It is called: National Public Health Service for Wales: Meeting the Health and Social Care Needs of people diagnosed with Personality Disorder. This was published in September 2005. I was part of the expert group commenting on the rural nature of north Wales, which required a different response to the more urban south.

The triangle in the cartoon refers to the adoption of a CAMHS model of Tiered Care: 1 to 4. Tier 1 is Primary Care, Tier 4 would be a residential treatment setting.
